All of our Clubs need to be affiliated with a nonprofit host organization, such as a school, library, or community-based organization. Clubs cannot be hosted in personal residences or for-profit spaces. Applicants starting a new Club are required to identify a host organization. It is expected that the host organization is made aware that you intend to name them as host and agrees to serve as the meeting space, even if your Club is virtual.
However, if you are not an employee of the host organization, you can submit an application to start a new Club and serve as its Facilitator. Still, you will need to find an employed representative of the host organization to sign the Girls Who Code Participation Agreement.
