Girls Who Code recommends all Clubs (new and renewed) start with the curriculum that accompanies our nonfiction book, Learn to Code and Change the World. This curriculum features chapter guides, online coding challenges, and unplugged activities. All excerpts from our nonfiction book are available as PDF copies in the chapter guides on Girls Who Code HQ, and no physical copies of the book are needed!
You can also switch it up by using the curriculum that accompanies the first book in the fiction series, The Friendship Code. For the best experience, it is recommended that all members are able to read this book in its entirety. Included in HQ are chapter summaries at the beginning of each weekly discussion guide for anyone who was unable to read the book (or just needs a refresher). Clubs are responsible for procuring copies of The Friendship Code to share among Club members.
Your Program Implementation Specialists are available to support you in exploring the possibilities. Find their contact information in HQ on the “Program Info” page.
