College Loops are organized around 5 challenges per semester which encourage members to:
- Connect with other women in computer science
- Build a community of peers
- Expand CS experience
Girls Who Code (GWC) provides planning materials to the College Loop President, who will organize the challenge.
Each challenge takes about 2 hours and includes an optional go beyond that allows College Loop members to continue the challenge after the event.
What makes Girls Who Code special is that we're not just here to teach girls how to code. To change the world you need more than just coding skills. Along with building strong ties and developing a supportive network of peers, each challenge ends with a reflection section that encourages College Loop members to see themselves as: Leaders, Allies, and Learners.
