Girls Who Code HQ is the learning platform where we provide all resources and free activities, so it is important that all participants register with their Club. In addition to providing curricular materials, HQ enrollment helps GWC track data longitudinally, which ensures that we can measure our impact on ending the gender disparity in computer science.
All Club participants may be enrolled in their Club on HQ in two ways:
Facilitators may use the "Invite Students" button on their own HQ homepage. An email will be sent to the participant or to the parent/ guardian. They simply need to follow the directions in the email, and they'll be all set!
Facilitators can provide the Club Code to students and parents, and have the participant or the parent/ guardian complete their HQ registration independently.
For students who are under 13, a parent/ guardian email is required to register for Girls Who Code HQ, our online learning platform. For 3rd-5th grade students, they would need to register on HQ, with the assistance and oversight of their parent or guardian. If you are under 13, you can ask a family member for help to sign up or share your parent/ guardian's email with your Facilitator (with their permission, of course!) and they will assist with enrollment.
