The Girls Who Code curriculums are designed to be flexible, so there's no set number of times a Club has to meet. Facilitators and Clubs members may meet at a schedule that works best for them.
Most Clubs choose to meet weekly or every other week for about 1 to 2 hours. Many Facilitators find that scheduling at least 60 minutes per meeting provides enough time to cover all of the materials for that session. If you need to meet for a different length of time, don't worry! Our materials include instructions for condensed meeting formats.
The 3rd-5th grade and 6th-12th grade curriculums are designed to meet for 10+ sessions.
The number of meetings held also depends on the Club’s duration, which is left up to the discretion of the Club Facilitator. Clubs may be held at any time during the year, including the summer.
