Girls Who Code (GWC) Clubs are free extracurricular programs for 3rd-12th graders that teach participants about computer science in a fun and safe environment!
GWC Clubs serve as a place (virtual included!) for students to spend time together while learning about computer science and building their confidence. Clubs provide participants with a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and an opportunity to use their skills to positively impact their community.
Clubs are hosted through nonprofit locations, such as schools, libraries, and community centers and take place throughout the year. They are led by volunteer Facilitators, who use the curriculum and resources provided by GWC on our learning platform, HQ. The frequency and duration of meetings is determined by the Facilitator and Club members, though most Clubs meet weekly for 1-2 hours for at least 10 sessions.
