There are a few options for how Facilitators can assist their members in creating an HQ account and joining their Club. Please see options below. Note that options may be limited based on members’ age and your Club host organization type.
Option 1: Facilitator invites members to join.
- Facilitator logs in to clubs-hq.girlswhocode.com
- Select the Club you wish to invite members to.
- Select Members from the top toolbar. If you are a Facilitator of a school-based Club, you may be prompted to accept the consent agreement. Click Confirm.
- Click the Add Members button in the middle of the page (or Add More Members if some members have already joined).
- If you already have enrolled members, you can click the teal-outlined person icon next to the heading to add additional students.
- From there, a window will appear with options for adding new members.
- Share Program Code: You can display the code in large font on your screen. Members should log in to HQ, click the Join New button on their My Programs page and enter the code.
- Send Email Invites: Here, you can enter prospective members’ email addresses and click Invite. An invitation email with directions will be sent to the participant or to the parent/guardian from Girls Who Code HQ. Members will still need to complete the steps outlined in this FAQ. Note: Students under 13 in non-school-based Club will need a guardian to register them and should not be sent an invite.
Note: Your options will depend on your program history and settings.
Note: Emails managed by an organization (such as student emails from a school district) may be blocked. You can choose another enrollment option or reach out to clubs@girlswhocode.com if your invites have not reached your students.
Option 2: Facilitator adds members from previous program (Members returning for a new session, i.e. a renewed program).
- Facilitator logs in to clubs-hq.girlswhocode.com.
- Select the Club you wish to invite members to.
- Select Members from the top toolbar.
- Click the Add Members button in the middle of the page (or Add More Members if some members have already joined).
- Select Add from Another Program.
- Select the previous program from the left-side drop down menu.
- Select any members you would like to add from the previous program on the right-side drop down menu.
- Click Add. Members will see a new Club tile on their My Programs page the next time they log in!
Option 3: Facilitator completes sign up for each member.

Collect the following information from each of your prospective members:
- Country
- Birth date
- Email address (if 13 or older) or desired username (if under 13)
- Desired password
- Race/ethnicity
- Free-and-reduced lunch qualification status
- Follow the steps outlined in this FAQ and complete the registration process as if you are each of your members, using the information they have provided you. Note: Students under 13 in non-school-based Club will need a guardian to register them and the Facilitator should not sign up on their behalf.
