Please note the 2021 Virtual SIP Domestic application deadline for students based in the United States has now passed. HOWEVER, students can still complete our online application to be directly added to our Waitlist. If you already have an account or have started the 2021 application you should login to continue where you left off.
To access the application, students must:
- Register for SurveyMonkey Apply account by selecting "REGISTER" on the application homepage. We highly recommend that students use a personal email address (e.g. gmail or yahoo) to register, rather than a school-issued, or parent's email address.
- Once you register, you'll need to verify your email address, before you can continue with the application.
- Once you've verified your email address, you can get started! The application takes approximately 20-30 minutes, and should be completed by the student, not a parent or guardian. The application is composed of seven mandatory sections or "tasks." Students can pause and return to complete their application at a later time, as needed.
Girls Who Code does not ask for GPA, transcript, or any recommendations.
Applicants can view a step-by-step walkthrough of the 2021 Virtual SIP application here. This includes instructions on how to navigate the SurveyMonkey Apply platform, and provides important notices and tips around successfully submitting your application.
If students are interested in applying for our SIP Stipend Award, they may do so in a separate stipend application. This will become available on the same platform to all students after submitting the main application. The supplemental Summer Stipend Award application has the same deadlines as the Virtual SIP application.
