Girls Who Code Clubs must be hosted at public, nonprofit, or similarly tax-exempt locations. If the Club will be using the 6th-12th grade curriculum, the location should have internet access and sufficient computers for Club members to work with. Please note even Clubs that only meet virtually must identify a nonprofit to serve as the Club's host organization. It is expected that the host organization is made aware that you intend to name them as host and agrees to serve as the meeting space, even if your Club is virtual.
Examples of acceptable meeting spaces are:
- A school computer lab
- Public universities
- Public libraries
- Community centers
- Tax-exempt faith-based organizations
- Other nonprofits
The following location types are not acceptable sites to host a Girls Who Code Club:
- Private homes
- Corporate office
- Class-A commercial buildings
- Any for-profit space
