Yes, your Club can definitely have more than one Facilitator!
For an optimal Clubs experience, there should be at least one Facilitator for every 20-25 girls. However, adding additional Facilitators is a great way to share responsibilities, provide more role models for students, and get more people from your community involved in the Girls Who Code (GWC) movement.
To ensure consistency for students and familiarity with the material for Facilitators, we recommend that GWC Clubs limit the number of Facilitators to a max of four.
If you'd like some ideas on how to recruit additional Facilitators, please reach out to your Club Success Specialist who can be your thought partner during your time hosting a Club. We will also be hosting resources for recruitment materials on HQ under "Facilitator Toolkit".
How to add Facilitators:
If you find a volunteer to serve as a Facilitator, your Club's Decision Maker or existing Facilitator will:
- Give the new volunteer the current academic year Club Code.
- Direct the volunteer to the GWC Club Application.
- Direct them to select "I've been invited to facilitate a 2019-20 Club, and I have a Club Code" and then complete the short application process.
Once the volunteer completes the application and passes the background check, they will be approved as a Facilitator for your Club and will receive access to HQ and all Club materials.
