Our programs are designed for participants who identify as female to promote a girls-supportive environment, and we encourage our Clubs to welcome any 3rd-12th grade member who wishes to join the Girls Who Code mission regardless of gender identity.
Our curriculums are particularly designed to serve students who:
- Are underrepresented in computer science and technology fields in terms of race, creed, or background.
- Have little to no access or exposure to computer science education in school.
- Identify as female, regardless of gender assignment at birth or legal recognition.
Please see this article for more information about our gender inclusion policy.
